Neva,
How great to hear from you again. Yes, I have been mourning the loss of your previous store. I would be glad to work with you. I've been spending a lot of time on a history and mapping project instead of finishing my next fiction book. Just as well for me that the new store isn't open yet. I have a trip planned and won't be available until after that. I will email you directly.

Hello! How have you been this past year? If you don't recall the name, I was the Manager at B Dalton and now I am the Book Manager at the new Hastings Entertainment store in Nampa. Today, my manager was mentioning to me that we needed to start thinking about in store promos, such as signings. You were one of the first authors I thought about. Do you still do signings and would you be interested? The store is not even open (yet) but is scheduled to open April 18. Just let me know. It would be good seeing you again. And Hastings is a little more flexable in merchandise they carry, such as they actually will do consignments, where as B&N said absolutely NO. So, if you know any more authors....... Just send them my way and we can see what we can work out. My email address you have but just in case it is *****. And my personal phone # is 284-2388. The store doesn't have a phone system yet but when it does, I'll let you know the number.Take care.
Hello Clair,

You may recall that I included a comment you made with regard to promoting your book while you travel in my book, "The Right Way to Write, Publish and Sell Your Book." This book has been picked up by Allworth Press/Skyhorse and I am currently revising/updating it.

I wonder if you have anything to add to your comment--how are sales going? Have you discovered any new methods of selling your books that you'd like to share with my audience?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Patricia Fry

Richard Gushman told me about your book Coyote Staircase after reading about one of my hikes into Joseph Creek. I recently picked up a copy and look forward to reading it. I have made 3 more trips into Joseph Creek this late summer and fall and have wrote about the trips on my blog I set up at www.fishingandhiking.com It is hard to find any information on Joseph Creek and I would be interested in any information you have to share about it with me.

Hi Clair: I am applying for full time permanent Federal positions for botanist, ranger naturalist, biotech, etc. I recently became a certified arborist and moved to Albuquerque to work for a tree care company, which I am not sure will work out. A friend at church said many people are retiring so there are openings in the Federal system. Wanted to confirm your contact info for a reference: 3555 Indiana ave, Baker City, 541-523-7981 right? thanks! Hope all is well with you, hi to Kata.

6 and 10...whew...pretty big numbers for some of cowboy types ! Just checking in to see what 'ya been up 2. Also, I have been asked to do a "reading/workshop" in John Day on August 26-27 and have been asked to bring another author with a "western flair". It is sponsored by the Harney Co, Historical Society and is in conjunction with the Grant Co. Fair. They will pay motel room etc. and sell some books for us. any interest?

Henry Braunz told me you're now an author. I am not a reader of mystery or westerns, however I salute you for taking on a writing project and completing it. I think that is a very admirable accomplishment. I wish you all of the best luck in writing and all of your endevors. I channel the postive energy of the universe to you. May it help you in anyway possible.

Clair how cool! Great to talk to Kata today. I wanted to locate you so I can use you as a reference for occasional job applications, most recently to Denver Botanic Gardens. As I told her, I decided not to go for that one, but be in touch if you want, by phone, or email. I am developing a landscape design/maintenance biz that looks like it will work. Would love to visit you guys someday soon. Barbara Russell

Pat,
I'll contact you directly with bibliography materials rather than post too much detail here.
The name Clair comes from my Godfather, Clair Wolfe, who was my father's best friend in the army in WWII. The F. comes from the middle name of my paternal grandfather, Edwin Francis Button (1896-1917).

Clair:

Came across a notation for "Cow Cookies" in a book search. Was unaware of you or your series of 'Tom Kreuger' mysteries. Visited your site.

As you can see by my web site, I am a bibliographer & publisher of reference books. I learned a bit about you, but have several questions:

* 'C' stands for "Clair" - What does 'F' stand for?
* Need your year of birth for librarians, please?
* Have you published any short material - Western, Frontier or Northern?

Feel free to contact me by phone or regular mail if you have an interest --

Best, Pat 903-883-2107 - http://www.westernreference.com
